For simplicity we have flat priced Zweigart aida as follows

Prices quoted are subject to change.

Aida is the most common fabric for Cross stitch.
Aida is a block weave giving it a strong texture with holes that are easily seen.
Standard Aida is 100% cotton but there are several special fabrics using lurex, linen and a metallic fleck.
Normally Aida is sewn over one thread, which is using every hole. If you look at the fabric the "squares" are easy to see so you can relate it easily to the chart or pattern.

Sizes available are:

    Hardanger

    Ref E1008

    Prices Shade card

Hardanger is 22 count making it really too small for sewing over one thread and too big for sewing over two although there are some people who speicalise in fine work on hardanger.
Strictly speaking Hardanger is not aida, but it is "Blockweave" making it of the same family as it were.
Hardanger has it's own form of embroidery known as "Hanrdanger Work" which uses counted thread and drawn threadwork. Further details may be found at Over the Moon Designs or X-Calibre Designs
